This is a 16-pin diagnostic cable used to connect the TEXA Navigator adapter to MTU engines with MTU Diesel Engine Control (MDEC).

MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH is a manufacturer of commercial internal combustion engines founded by Wilhelm Maybach and his son Karl Maybach in 1909. MDEC (MTU Diesel Engine Control) made its debut in the 1990s, which controlled diesel engines with either unit-pump fuel injection or the common rail system, which was still quite new at the time.
